Racism in the XXI century

PCV.- The recent discussions about the health care reform promoted by the Obama administration, and the embarrassing episodes in the Congress -like the statement made by senator Joe Wilson, saying that the president was a liar-, have put again the question in the public opinion: if someone opposes the president, ¿is that person racist?

Newspaper around the country show how discrimination and racism -in different levels- still endure among the american people. Two examples: a sheriff candidate suffers the slurs of the Ku Klux Klan and poverty in Indiana hits African Americans and Latinos harder than white people.

The following presentation includes some background on the topic of racism in the XXI century, as well as some news articles related to discrimination and poverty issues.
